Happy post

| | Comments (4)

OK, as promised, the 'happy post' :smile
With the past holiday I've read several posts at both ends of the spectrum..from I hate Valentines day, to it being a wonderful day filled with spoiling and gifts...it started me thinking about my own relationship, and relationships past.

I never used to really like V-day, I didn't hate it, just really had no use for it. What was the purpose (I thought) of having one day where the person you were with, tried to make up for treating you like shit all the other days of the year...like all would be forgiven cause they bought you a box of chocolates or flowers...yea right!

But now...I look forward to it, this might sound odd but now it seems like every day is V-day, and let me tell you thats not easy to achieve when your 1648 miles apart! But it's true, I can honestly say I've never known anyone that knows me so well, I've never been with anyone who I don't have an almost constant tension with...
yea, thats right folks, we don't fight...we might disagree on some things, and I'm certain I get on her last nerve allot of times...but we don't fight.
never have...can't think of anything we ever would fight over...
and I can't even begin to describe how wonderful that is :smile

Now this may seem like I'm bragging (ok, maybe I am just a bit :lol) but when you're happy with something in your life, don't you just want to let everyone know? :banana

something to think about

| | Comments (3)

I've held off posting anything about yesterdays tragedy, due to the inability to find words.
I received this in my in-box today from a list I'm on, and it did help me to think of the words, however not better than the author, so I thought I would share this with you all...

"let us not forget in the hundreds of shuttle flight and dozens of rocket flights prior to that, how few the accidents have been:

The men of the USAF who risked life and limb every day in the test flights
The launch pad incident in the 1960s
Apollo 13 - GOT HOME SAFE
Challenger
Columbia

it may seem cold to break it down to figures, but when you realize that in NASA's history they have only lost 17 Astronauts and maybe 50 USAF aircraft pilots in the pre NASA days, and when compared to a war.

yet we still have wars despite the tragedy of the losses so let us still have space flight let deep space exploration be their legacy and their heritage"
