and so it begins...again

| | Comments (3)

those that have been reading for a while know about the issues I have with living where I do, and what happened last year :angry
over the last couple months, I've taken serious steps toward moving out of this town, most know that I've been trying to do this for 3 years now (well, actually longer, but that's another story) the part that sucked is that I wasn't able to do it when I had to move from my other house :sad
so today, he received the notice of my intent to move (click the link above if you don't know what I'm talking about)
I was told if I just 'dropped it' and gave him full custody, he would not go after child support :rofl yea, that will happen...NOT
then I was told that in Oklahoma, my 'lifestyle' was a basis to prove me an unfit mother
ummm...I think this states differently (I can find more, but you get the idea...and yes, this was an Oklahoma case)

so I was then informed that this time, it would be 'for all of it' meaning he would go for full custody...yes, I was expecting that...doesn't mean you're going to win there guy :biglaugha
and don't worry, if I win, I don't want a dime from you...see, it's not always 'about the money' :uhoh3 (again, his words)
sometimes, it's about regaining control of your own life.

updates and such

OK, for those that were hiding under a rock or something the last month or so, I went to FL last week :biggrin and had an AWESOME time!
spent some time with my uncle, during which time we worked out some plans that will hopefully pan out in the next couple months *crossing fingers*
and got to meet Whtetigr :banana (which was awesome all by itself :smile) and several of her friends (most of who are listed in the post below, I hope!)

there is no way I could go into all the details and do them justice, but the one thing I have to mention is the 'souvenir' I picked up when we went to 5 points one day

those of you that know me know this has been a long time coming :wink

and no, I'm NOT happy about being back :cry, but it will make the return that much better I'm certain :chtounge

10 years ago today...

my oldest boy was born :1luvu
since that day there have been many sleepless nights, gray hairs found, voices raised, and beatings threatened...
on the other hand, there have been even more hugs, kisses, and I love yous said...
the one drawback to this day, is coming to terms with the fact that I'm old enough to have a child this age :scared (when did that happen???)

Happy birthday dude, your mama loves you more than you could ever realize...:cry

so feel privileged

I'll post more of an update later, got to get ready for work now :walk_sad

*edited at work to add!! Thank you to Jamie and Speedbump for getting me to and from DFW airport and putting up with my basket case and grouchy self :uhoh3 *

well, the Redeagle continuum has assimilated another one...Please go welcome Midnight to our happy little group here...if you can't tell he's a friend of Buffy (of Arrrgh fame) :biggrin
he's also brand new to blogging...I'm hoping he updates more often that other 'new' bloggers I could name...while I enjoy their posts, they just don't come frequently enough!! :wtf

and I now return you to your regularly scheduled surfing...
:groupwave

Stole this from Tracy...
sorry, just can't bring myself to say 'horked' which brings to mind all kinds of gross images I don't want to go into...:rofl

well...

| | Comments (2)

apparently it didn't take as long as I thought it would to get everything back...for the most part...got all my programs back, some of the documents that I had saved from when I built this computer, and a few things I managed to find and save...:red
hopefully the rest will still be on the other HD *crossing fingers*
if not :shrug
and big :kissy to all my friends who listened to me rant, rave, cuss, scream, whine and cry while I tried to get this done...y'all are the best! :thumb

so for the most part...the bitch is back :flames

What was I thinking?

| | Comments (5)

so I've had a new (to me) hard drive sitting at my house for a couple weeks, with twice as much space on it as was on the 2 in my computer combined...so I get the wild idea to put it in there and transfer everything over...
in theory, doesn't sound to bad, right? :biglaugha
someone PLEASE remind me next time I get an idea like this, to back up everything to disk, instead of transfering it over from the other HD, as I'm sure the majority of my next couple days will be spent finding what files I want to keep (and I know there's a hundred+ or so) and hopefully being able to get the cd burner to work so I can wipe it out and start over...:scared

:throwcomp

so while I'm stressing out and all this is going on, my friend Jamie calls me.:uhoh3
not that its all that unusual, but what she had to say was...

"T, are you on aim?"
ummm..no, I can't even log online at this point, why?
"because you're showing online on that messenger" (I use trillian at home and usually have 4 logged on at all times)

come to find out dingbat that I am, forgot to log off as admin at work this morning, and one of my co-workers had logged me back on it (I only use aim there) how do I know that's what happened? because I specifically remember turning it off this morning...:hammer

I'm telling you, the next 8 days cannot go fast enough for me!!! :biggrin

not sure about this one

borrowed from tenderpawz

Type Two
The Helper
The caring, interpersonal type. Twos are empathetic, sincere, and warm-hearted. They are friendly, generous, and self-sacrificing, but can also be sentimental, flattering, and people-pleasing. They are well-meaning and driven to be close to others, but can slip into doing things for others in order to be needed. They typically have problems with possessiveness and with acknowledging their own needs. At their Best: unselfish and altruistic, they have unconditional love for others

unbelievable

just when you think that your co-workers have the lock on cluelessness...
:brick
I get a phone call the other day from the owners wife
:jaw
first time I've ever spoken to the woman in over 2 years of working there, hell, I didn't even know she knew who I was!!
she asked if I would PLEASE call OKC and walk them through the audit :wtf
different franchise, different procedures, but for some reason none of them can figure out how to do it :errrr
so I do, and after 1/2 the night on the phone with this person, (who I STILL can't figure out how he manages to do his job), it's still not working...
T to the rescue again...I drive up there, look the problem over, and figure out what they need to do to get their audit to balance. :fdup (I'm telling ya, I wish I had it as easy as their people do!!) went to dinner with the 'dingy sales chick' (her words, not mine!) :lol almost drank to much, and went back, went to the room and made a few calls, rested for a bit, then went and trained their night audit for 2 1/2 hours (that was interesting to say the least) then drove home...durring which I get a phone call from my property saying we're not balancing :let_it_all_out
perhaps I was right in my first assumption...:shrug

I just know I seriously need my vacation!!!!! :biggrin

good grief!

you know it's not going to be a great day when you get on-line and discover that your mysql databases are missing. :scared
which means, not only did everyone over on the sidebar that resides here at chez Redeagle have issues, but also the other domain that I host :uhoh3
But thanks to the rocking people I have my account with, they had us all back up and running in no time!! :banana
sorry for any wonkyness encountered during that time :bullet

and totally off topic, :groupwave only 2 more weeks!!
I'm so psyched!! :biggrin

:wavey

some days!!

| | Comments (5)

I swear, people are going out of their way to piss me off this year...
yesterday morning, while at work, I get told by one of the guests, that "If you lived where we do, you wouldn't be able to do this job"
:wtf
not because I'm not DAMN GOOD at my job, but because a woman should not work nights, alone. :let_it_all_out
excuse me?!?!?!
I politely informed him that not only was it discrimination, but also illegal
to which he said "well yes, but its only a problem if someone makes a fuss about it"
to which I not so politely informed him, that I'm definitely the type of person who WOULD!!

but once again, the :asshole of the moment award goes to *drum roll please*
MY EX!!
he and the kids are down at my fathers (long story, we won't go into it, suffice it to say the 2 of them get along better than me and my father do) and went 4-wheeling yesterday
not a problem
apparently him and my oldest son got dumped off, and said son almost got run over...
to give the :asshole credit, he did put his leg up and stop it from doing that...
they're both scraped up...apparently the ex is in pretty rough shape
however, I didn't know anything about this until this morning!!! :angry
If I had DARED pull something like that, and not let him know if something had happened IMMEDIATELY if not sooner, I would have heard about it for MONTHS ON END!! :flames
and before anyone jumps my case, yes, I know better than anyone that accidents happen, hell, had my fair share of them
but FFS, I'm his MOTHER, I at least deserve a damn PHONE CALL!!!
:greenchainsaw

fitting end

| | Comments (9)

well, it seems 2003 wasn't done with me yet...:let_it_all_out
on the way to work last night, at 10:45pm, a cop decided to give my year a fitting end, and pull me over (OK, so I wasn't wearing a seatbelt...but good goddess didn't he have some drunks or something to harass?!?! :hammer)
yes, I got a ticket :angry
a wonderful ending to a perfect year :uhoh3

oh well...I did have some great friends that called not long after I got there...who let me whine then cheered me up immensely! thanks to all of you :kisses

and I found out some interesting info on the :asshole this morning (don't you love that smiley?) from my co-worker...not sure what to do with it yet, but with the way he goes on about every little thing that I do...I'm sure I can think of something :angdev

yep, 2004 is looking pretty damn good!! :wavey
